About Services
Welcome. My name is Holly Woodhouse and I am a Generally Registered Psychologist practicing in North and South Brisbane.
Seeking support for psychological wellbeing can be daunting. At Holistic Psychology I hope to provide a safe, empathetic and collaborative space to unpack your emotional, cognitive and behavioural concerns.
A Holistic Approach
Our brain, body, and behaviour have a symbiotic relationship. To promote psychological wellbeing, this can involve analysing and evaluating our internal and external processes to promote a state of contentment. Therefore, my approach largely draws on neuropsychotherapy psychoeducation to further understand your patterns of behaviour.
Stressful events can often be difficult to express vulnerability and openly talk about. Understandably, this can take time for you to feel safe to disclose within the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, my practice consists of a gradual and empathetic approach to psychological concerns, guided by evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy and other Psychotherapies.
Services Offered
Talk Therapy
Online or in-person, this is designed for individuals to process and explore their thoughts, emotions and behavioural patterns. Typically, sessions occur weekly or bi-weekly, however, this is collaboratively negotiated with you.
Talk therapy is offered at two practice locations which can be accessed on the ‘Services’ tab.
Cognitive and Personality Assessments
In-person assessments are designed for individuals seeking psychological clarification and support in potential learning, career, personality and mental health concerns.
